PBL boys, seventh-grade girls track teams win home meet


PAXTON – The Paxton-Buckley-Loda seventh- and eighth-grade boys and seventh-grade girls track and field teams won a five-team home meet on Thursday.
The seventh-grade boys scored a 134 1/3 while Tri-Point finished second with a score of 75. The PBL eighth-grade boys finished with a score of 101 while Tri-Point finished fifth with a score of 55.
The PBL seventh-grade girls finished with a score of 98 while Tri-Point finished fifth with a score of 60. The PBL eighth-grade girls finished second with a score of 103 while Tri-Point finished fifth with a score of 47.


Levi Turner and Trenton Kovell of PBL finished first and second, respectively, with times of 13.79 and 14.1 seconds in the seventh-grade boys’ 100-meter dash while Tri-Point’s Monty Manning finished third with a time of 14.34 seconds, followed by PBL’s Jose Brown (fourth, 14.46) and Jayden Erhardt (fifth, 14.86), Tri-Point’s Kamden Pelehowski (sixth, 15.24) and PBL’S Carter Vaughn (eighth, 15.26), Radley Bowman (10th, 15.81), Nelson Lamboy (12th, 16.22) and Andrew Rodriguez (14th, 16.77).
Tri-Point’s Damian Amador finished first in the seventh-grade boys’ 800-meter run with a time of 2:41.85 while PBL’s Karsyn Rini and Branson Herges finished second and third, respectively, with times of 3:03.44 and 3:10.41. Tri-Point’s Norman Vereecke finished sixth with a time of 3:21.04 while teammate Ben Cliton finished eighth with a time of 3:24.39.
Grace Johnson and Morgan Loschen of PBL finished first and second, respectively, in the seventh-grade girls’ 100-meter dash with times of 14.25 and 14.8 seconds while Tri-Point’s Kazlyn Melendez and Charlotte Grubbs finished third and fourth, respectively, with times of 15.34 and 15.44 seconds, followed by PBL’s Zaharra Perez (sixth, 15.94) and Blessing Foreman (eighth, 16.17).
Harper Swinford of PBL finished first in the eighth-grade girls’ 200-meter dash with a time of 30.2 seconds while Tri-Point’s Addie Honeycutt finished second with a time of 32.14 seconds, followed by PBL’s Kyla Grohler (fourth, 33.07) and Khloe Lancaster (sixth, 33.39), Tri-Point’s Zoey VanHook (11th, 36.89) and PBL’s Ainsley Niewold (12th, 40.41).
Hunter Shedd of PBL finished first in the eighth-grade boys’ 100-meter dash with a time of 12.27 seconds while teammates Caden Duley, Jase Droughns and Evan Hudson finished fourth, fifth and ninth, respectively, with times of 13.45, 13.68 and 23.94 seconds.
Levi Turner of PBL finished first in the seventh-grade boys’ 200-meter dash with a time of 28.65 seconds while teammate Dawson Rapp finished fifth with a time of 30.79 seconds, followed by Tri-Point’s Kamden Pelehowski (seventh, 32.45) and PBL’s Jorden Viner (eighth, 33.89), Andrew Rodriguez (ninth, 35.0) and Trenton Kovell (12th, 48.62).
Hunter Shedd of PBL finished first in the eighth-grade boys’ 200-meter dash with a time of 24.73 seconds while teammate Jase Droughns finished fifth with a time of 28.06 seconds, Tri-Point’s Amarri Fagan-Harris and Brantley Smallwood finished ninth and 10th, respectively, with times of 33.05 and 41.59 seconds and PBL’s Evan Hudson finished 11th with a time of 1:02.41.
Tri-Point’s Axell Pozos finished first in the seventh-grade boys’ 400-meter dash with a time of 1:08.05 while PBL’s Jose Brown and Jayden Ehrhardt finished third and fourth, respectively, with times of 1:11.39 and 1:11.84, followed by PBL’s Carter Vaughn (sixth, 1:13.96), Timber Withers (eighth, 1:16.66), Aaron Williams (ninth, 1:17.54), Nelson Lamboy (10th, 1:17.77), Radley Bowman (12th, 1:20.13) and Tri-Point’s Norman Vereecke (13th, 1:35.68).
Anna Reber of PBL finished first in the seventh-grade girls’ discus with a throw of 16.74 meters while Tri-Point’s Abbey Hoffman placed second with a toss of 16 meters. Khloe Lancaster of PBL finished fifth with a throw of 14.4 meters while Tri-Point’s Rayna Platz finished seventh with a toss of 11.6 meters and PBL’s LaNyiah Mumphrey finished ninth with a hurl of 9.48 meters.
Tri-Point’s Ella Thorndyke finished first in the eighth-grade girls’ discus with a throw of 22 meters while PBL’s Isabella Eaglen, Violet Foster, Grace Didier and Karsyn Marshall finished fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth, respectively, with tosses of 14.78, 14.47, 14.36 and 11.49 meters and Tri-Point’s Lucy Raymond finished 10th with a hurl of 10.96 meters.
Julio Barradas of PBL finished first in the eighth-grade boys’ 800-meter run with a time of 2:34.24 while teammate Jose Brown finished fifth with a time of 2:58.27. Barradas also finished first in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:34.24 while Tri-Point’s Max Weller finished fifth with a time of 8:48.65.
Tri-Point’s Damian Amador finished first in the seventh-grade boys’ 1,600-meter run with a time of 6:01.53 while PBL’s Brandon Herges and Karsyn Rini finished second and third, respectively, with times of 6:28.91 and 6:28.96 and Tri-Point’s Sammy Darda finished ninth with a time of 8:10.2.
Tri-Point’s Caleb Rosenboom finished first in the seventh-grade boys’ discus with a throw of 23.75 meters while PBL’s Timber Withers, Kameron Kief and Tomasi Suaava finished second, third, and fourth, respectively, with tosses of 22.05, 21 and 20.54 meters, followed by PBL’s Gavin Wurmnest (sixth, 18.74) and Kiyler Griffin (eighth, 18.39), Tri-Point’s Jamie Wright (11th, 16.93) and PBL’s Keegan Hanson (14th, 9.92).
Tri-Point’s Theo Angus finished first in the eighth-grade boys’ discus with a throw of 31.57 meters while PBL’s Zachary Grohler finished fourth with a toss of 22.71 meters. Tri-Point’s Brynner Dietz finished fifth with a throw of 21.86 meters while PBL’s Wyatt Lee and Weston Gustafson finished sixth and 10th, respectively, with tosses of 21.43 and 14.9 meters.
Brooklyn Stafford of PBL finished first in the eighth-grade girls’ 1,600-meter run with a time of 6:07.51 while Tri-Point’s Lily Polcen finished second with a time of 6:44.03 and PBL’s Dusty Grabow finished fourth with a time of 10:10.57.
Tomasi Suaava of PBL finished first in the seventh-grade boys’ shot put with a throw of 9.62 meters while Tri-Point’s Caleb Rosenboom finished fifth with a toss of 7.74 meters, followed by PBL’s Kameron Kief (sixth, 7.73), Kiyler Griffin (seventh, 7.7) and Gavin Wurmnest (eighth, 7.3), Tri-Point’s Jacob Fink (ninth, 6.7) and PBL’s Keegan Hanson (13th, 4.01).
Hunter Shedd of PBL finished first in the eighth-grade boys’ long jump with a leap of 5.18 meters while teammate Caden Duley finished fifth with a jump of 4.46 meters. Tri-Point’s AJ Fernandez and Gavin Jurlow finished eighth and ninth, respectively, with leaps of 3.54 and 3.23 meters while PBL’s Evan Hudson finished 10th with a jump of 2.63 meters.
In the seventh-grade boys’ 4×100 relay, PBL’s Jose Brown, Aaron Williams, Jayden Erhardt and Levi Turner finished first with a time of 59.37 seconds while Tri-Point’s Norman Vereecke, Beau Mau, Mason Kiefer and Kade Schuette finished fourth with a time of 1:16.67.
In the seventh-grade girls’ 4×200 relay, PBL’s Grace Johnson, Morgan Loschen, Anna Reber and Ella Withers finished first with a time of 2:06.41 while Tri-Point’s Jemma Colclasure, Zoey VanHook, Ryleigh Platz and Lexi Simms finished fifth with a time of 2:44.26.
In the eighth-grade girls’ 4×400 relay, PBL’s Rylee Masco, Aubrey Kidd, Brooklyn Stafford and Harper Swinford finished first with a time of 4:59.7.


Tri-Point’s Dustin Damron finished second in the eighth-grade boys’ 400-meter dash with a time of 58.97 seconds while PBL’s Caden Duley finished third with a time of 59.49 seconds, Tri-Point’s Jesus Pozos finished seventh with a time of 1:07.21 and PBL’s CaVaughn Savage finished 10th with a time of 1:13.75.
Damron also finished second in the high jump with a leap of 1.57 meters while teammate Zane Jarman finished seventh with a jump of 1.32 meters.
In the eighth-grade girls’ long jump, PBL’s Grace Johnson, Aleiyah Frichtl and Shelby Luebchow finished second, third and fourth, respectively, with leaps of 3.8, 3.51 and 3.42 meters while Tri-Point’s Cheyenne Helton and Ryleigh Platz finished sixth and 10th, respectively, with jumps of 3.21 and 2.25 meters.
Tri-Point’s Charlotte Grubbs finished second in the seventh-grade girls’ 400-meter dash with a time of 1:13.92 while PBL’s CaLeah Savage, Scarlett Curtis and Louise Foster finished fifth, seventh and eighth, respectively, with times of 1:22.48, 1:25.15 and 1:25.37 and Tri-Point’s Lexi Simms finished 10th with a time of 1:36.66.
Tri-Point’s Abbey Hoffman finished second in the seventh-grade girls’ shot put with a throw of 6.3 meters, followed by teammate Rayna Platz (fourth, 5.76), PBL’s Violet Foster (fifth, 5.54), Karsyn Marshall (sixth, 4.97), LaNyiah Mumphrey (10th, 4.51) and Grace Didier (11th, 4.42).
Rylee Masco of PBL finished second in the eighth-grade girls’ 100-meter dash with a time of 14.5 seconds while teammates Ella Withers and Kirsten Koenig finished fifth and sixth, respectively, with times of 15.4 and 15.5 seconds. Tri-Point’s Addie Honeycutt finished seventh with a time of 15.61 seconds while teammate Josie Harris finished 10th with a time of 17.5 seconds and PBL’s Ainsley Niewold finished 11th with a time of 17.89 seconds.
Aaron Williams of PBL finished second in the seventh-grade boys’ high jump with a leap of 1.32 meters while teammate Lucas Niewold tied for fourth with a jump of 1.17 meters.
Wyatt Lee of PBL finished second in the eighth-grade boys’ shot put with a throw of 9.16 meters while Tri-Point’s Brynner Dietz finished third with a toss of 8.96 meters. Zachary Grohler and Weston Gustafson of PBL finished seventh and eighth, respectively, with throws of 7.4 and 7.09 meters while Tri-Point’s Alex Christensen finished ninth with a toss of 6.46 meters.
Levi Turner of PBL finished second in the seventh-grade boys’ 110-meter hurdles with a time of 20.23 seconds while teammates Jorden Viner, Branson Herges and Dawson Rapp finished fifth, seventh and eighth, respectively, with times of 22.23, 23.63 and 23.9 seconds and Tri-Point’s Brantley Smallwood finished 10th with a time of 29.79 seconds.
Jase Droughns of PBL finished second in the eighth-grade boys’ 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.96 seconds while teammate CaVaughn Savage finished fifth with a time of 19.78 seconds and Tri-Point’s Aiden Helton finished sixth with a time of 23.39 seconds.
Tri-Point’s Lily Polcen finished second in the seventh-grade girls’ 800-meter run with a time of 2:56.47 while PBL’s Hayleigh Steele and Saylor Wooten finished fourth and sixth, respectively, with times of 3:20.13 and 3:33.47.
In the eighth-grade girls’ 800-meter run, PBL’s Kat Sawyer, Karson Quinlan and Shelby Luebchow finished second, third and sixth, respectively, with times of 3:26.77, 3:32.27 and 3:47.4.
In the seventh-grade boys’ 4×200 relay, Tri-Point’s Amarri Fagan-Harris, Monty Manning, Axell Pozos and Ryan Pozos finished second with a time of 2:08.07 while PBL’s Dawson Rapp, Jorden Viner, Radley Bowman and Carter Vaughn finished fourth with a time of 2:09.15.
In the eighth-grade boys’ 4×200 relay, PBL’s Caden Duley, CaVaughn Savage, Jase Droughns and Hunter Shedd finished second with a time of 1:50.92 while Tri-Point’s Brynner Dietz, Aiden Helton, Tyler Martinez and Theo Angus finished third with a time of 2:06.09.
In the seventh-grade boys’ 4×400 relay, Tri-Point’s Axell Pozos, Damian Amador, Ryan Pozos and Gavin Jurlow finished second with a time of 4:43.17 while PBL’s Dawson Rapp, Andrew Rodriguez, Jorden Viner and Karsyn Rini finished fourth with a time of 5:13.37.
In the eighth-grade girls’ 4×200 relay, PBL’s Rylee Masco, Kyla Grohler, Harper Swinford and Brooklyn Stafford finished second with a time of 2:03.92.
Tri-Point’s Ella Thorndyke, Addie Honeycutt, Josie Harris and Sophia Billerbeck finished second in the eighth-grade girls’ 4×100 relay with a time of 1:02.55 while PBL’s Khloe Lancaster, Scarlett Curtis, Zaharra Perez and Isabella Eaglen finished third with a time of 1:08.88.


Ella Withers of PBL finished third in the seventh-grade girls’ 200-meter dash with a time of 31.26 seconds while Tri-Point’s Kazlyn Melendez finished fourth with a time of 31.36 seconds, followed by PBL’s Kirsten Koenig (fifth, 31.68), Anna Reber (seventh, 32.16) and Naomi Burgess (10th, 34.62), Tri-Point’s Cheyenne Helton (11th, 35.19) and PBL’s Hayleigh Steele (12th, 35.75) and Violet Foster (14th, 37.86).
Karson Quinlan and Elli Sinn of PBL finished third and fourth, respectively, in the seventh-grade girls’ 1,600-meter run with times of 7:47.57 and 7:51.59.
Tri-Point’s Zane Jarman, Dustin Damron, Jesus Pozos and Jamie Wright finished third in the eighth-grade boys’ 4×100 relay with a time of 56.5 seconds.
CaLeah Savage of PBL finished third in the eighth-grade girls’ 100-meter hurdles with a time of 23.31 seconds while Tri-Point’s Sophia Billerbeck finished fourth with a time of 23.96 seconds and PBL’s Kat Sawyer finished fifth with a time of 24.11 seconds.
In the seventh-grade girls’ 4×100 relay, Tri-Point’s Tessa Porth, Kazlyn Melendez, Lily Polcen and Charlotte Grubbs finished third with a time of 1:02.01 while PBL’s Blessing Foreman, Shelby Luebchow, Kirsten Koenig and Naomi Burgess finished fourth with a time of 1:02.89.
In the eighth-grade boys’ 4×400 relay, Tri-Point’s Aiden Helton, AJ Fernandez, Tyler Martinez and Theo Angus finished third with a time of 5:00.72 while PBL’s Zachary Grohler, CaVaughn Savage, Aaron Williams and Julio Barradas finished fourth with a time of 5:10.77.
In the seventh-grade girls’ 4×400 relay, PBL’s Morgan Loschen, Anna Reber, Khloe Lancaster and Grace Johnson finished third with a time of 5:09.69.
Carter Vaughn of PBL finished fourth in the seventh-grade boys’ long jump with a leap of 3.57 meters while Tri-Point’s Amarri Fagan-Harris finished fifth with a jump of 3.53 meters and PBL’s Radley Bowman and Lucas Niewold finished seventh and ninth, respectively, with leaps of 3.5 and 3.31 meters.
Tri-Point’s Ella Thorndyke finished fourth in the eighth-grade girls’ shot put with a throw of 6.66 meters while PBL’s Isabella Eaglen finished fifth with a toss of 5.09 meters and Tri-Point’s Sofia McKinney finished seventh with a hurl of 4.77 meters.
Scarlett Curtis of PBL finished fourth in the seventh-grade girls’ 100-meter hurdles with a time of 23.01 seconds while teammate Libbie Sawyer finished seventh with a time of 24.88 seconds.
Rylee Masco of PBL finished fourth in the eighth-grade girls’ high jump with a leap of 1.12 meters while Tri-Point’s Sophia Billerbeck finished fifth with a jump of 1.12 meters.
Tessa Wurmnest of PBL finished fourth in the eighth-grade girls’ long jump with a leap of 3.43 meters while Tri-Point’s Sophia Billerbeck finished fifth with a jump of 3.41, followed by PBL’s Kat Sawyer (seventh, 3.03) and Ainsley Niewold (eighth, 2.97).
Zaharra Perez, Aubrey Kidd and Libbie Sawyer finished fifth, sixth and ninth, respectively, in the eighth-grade girls’ 400-meter dash with times of 1:26.06, 1:26.58 and 1:41.86 while Tri-Point’s Tessa Porth and Ryleigh Platz finished 10th and 11th, respectively, with times of 1:44.1 and 2:04.99.
Saylor Wooten of PBL finished fifth in the seventh-grade girls’ high jump with a leap of 1.12 meters.
