GIBSON CITY – All three Paxton-Buckley-Loda Youth Football teams advanced past the first round of the Central Illinois Football League playoffs, as did the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Mighty Mite and Senior teams.
The PBL Juniors won 14-13 in overtime over GCMS while the Mighty Mites won 8-0 over Watseka and the Seniors won 46-40 in overtime over Iroquois West.
The GCMS Mighty Mites won 26-7 over Dwight while the Seniors won 21-6 over Herscher.
The GCMS and PBL Mighty Mites will face each other in the semifinals at 1 p.m. next Saturday. The Falcon and Panther Seniors will meet at 5 p.m. on Saturday; both games will be played in Paxton.
The PBL Juniors will play at Momence at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20.
