GCMS boys basketball wins 55-41 over St. Thomas More


EUREKA – The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley varsity boys basketball team won 55-41 over St. Thomas More in the Eureka College Shootout on Saturday.

In the second quarter, GCMS (7-2) extended a 14-11 first-quarter lead by outscoring STM 21-4 as Graydon Leonard scored seven points during the quarter while Brayden Elliott had six points, Austin Kasper had four points and Paul Baillie and Ryker Grauer each had two points.

Leonard and Elliott each finished the game in double figures for the Falcons with 15 and 13 points, respectively. Kasper had seven points while Spencer Kleist and Grauer each had five points and Mason Doman had three points.

Paul Baillie, Logan Ward and Matt Allen each had two points and Zeb Greer had one point.
