PIPER CITY – The Buckley St. John’s Lutheran School eighth-grade girls basketball team won 28-8 in its season opener over Tri-Point on Tuesday. Kinley Beyers scored 18 points and had five rebounds, five steals and three assists while Tinley Eichelberger had six points, 10 rebounds, two blocks and four assists and Kimber Wegrzyn had four points and three rebounds.
